Traditionally, this is an event for those comfortably QRV from QTHR. No wonder!
The weather can be inclement and the ground is usually damp, in any case.
It is, though, a great opportunity for testing new ideas and new kit dreamt up over the winter.

In this case, our 'secret weapon' was a pair of 7 element "Loop Fed Array"
aerials; designed and built by
G0KSC;
who joined us, on site in JO01GO, to direct operations.
Because of the size and that the ground was just a bit boggy we chickened out
of getting them up on a 40ft tower and settled for 30ft.
As it happens, 40ft would have been just as easy due to the lightness of the array.
Works well too!
