144 Meg Conditions were pretty poor this year (poor = atrocious, in the SE) -
it was a struggle to keep the motivation.
The 70cms result underlines this big time! Low band occupancy is no excuse for dropping
6 QSOs through, one supposes, poor logging or worse, poor listening!

QRP 2008 - continued
It might be said that second in the 144Mhz table is not so bad, but when it's considered
that we were nearly 1 million points adrift it shows that we were taken to the cleaners!
3rd on 70cms. Yes OK, but those 6 QSO lost represented 15% of our total. Pretty appalling
even though we'd have only made the 3rd spot had they all been taken in to account.
All in all a poor performance.
Must try harder!
