M1CRO :: October 2008 UHF Contest

Due to lack of personnel and appropriate equipment we decided to run with only two bands for this event.
70cm was mounted as a feeder for the 23cm station and to concentrate on an entry for the parallel -running RSGB 23cm Trophy Competition.
A scratch 23cm rig using a TS-2000X as prime-mover with the trusty 8x23 array up at 20M.

Oct UHF 2008 - continued

The WX was pretty wild - we needed 5 guys on the 70cm tower - and wet.
The 23cm pre-amp gave up amping around 18:00 on Saturday which reduced our capability somewhat and the tent blew open during our overnight rest period soaking the (turned-off) 70cm EHT section.
Game over!
