This was always going to be a tough one. Last minute changes to available aerial mounting were finessed by Club Chairman M0ZZO in great style.

All the gear worked. And remained working throughout (apart from a small hiccough in the 4 Metre department; which was easily resolved).
The weather was reasonably kind and conditions moderately enhanced with both Tropo and SpE assisting on 2M and 6M. 70 & 23 cms were fairly flat for most of the contest with occasional enhancements to the south and SE.

VHF National Field Day 2005 - continued

4 Metres (on Sunday) lacked sporadic but was lively and well occupied.
The super-tropo/SpE enjoyed by those in the west and north (evidently) did not really find its way to the east coast (crys of 'Aah! Shame' heard from off) but the crew put in as good an effort as possible and early results are encouraging.
Time will tell...

Footnote: On Sunday we were visited by Andy, G7OEC (who is also GX7VHF). He has put up a photo-montage of the G0VHF/P Field Day station and location on his website. Well worth a look
